Two birds in the Viewfinder
Finally we in the north grabbed a bit of the summer weather the south has been having for the last few days and it felt glorious . Blue skies and warmth sunshine to make us forget the dull uninspiring weather we have had lately.
The tide was high and the sea calm and clear when we five took to the water at 8am. The sea was still just as cold but getting dressed in the sun meant there was no undue shivering.
Even the buses responded to the feel good day and there was no waiting at Porty or the Mound , and a seamless transfer. I hit the jackpot today with the travelling.
I had a call as I finished lunch to say that my friend of Ivy on the Square fame had strayed into my territory and was having a coffee outside at Söderberg and could I come and join her. We sat in the sun for almost 2 hours without jackets-the student generation were in itsy bitsy t- shirts, it felt that warm even if my phone said it was only 13° feeling like 8°. In a sheltered spot it was certainly hotter.
As I type,I can see the Meadows are sporting a vast number of grass sitters. There is a bit of a breeze and that added to the dreaded scaffolding taking up room on the patio means I am now enjoying the sun vicariously through the glass of the Dower House window
