When I went to bed last night I thought there's no point getting up at normal time when you have no motivation to do anything, so I had a nice lie in.

I'm really struggling at the moment. If I can't motivate myself, how the hell am I supposed to motivate my team?

My young padawan is still feeling rough but we did catch up later on. Struggling with illness and all this crap with work has not helped her mood. It was actually 5 years today that I interviewed her. One of the best recruitment decisions I've ever made.

Managed a good lunchtime power ramble. I have no idea what these balloons are in the canal, they've been anchored there. They look like that freaky balloon from the Prisoner series with Patrick McGoohan.

Let off steam to a couple of colleagues about my situation.
