Croesryw ~ Hybrid
“From my early childhood in Tibet, I was always fascinated with language. When I was thirteen, I managed to learn the dialect of the neighborhood where my guru lived, and even some of the natives thought I came from their own district. To me, the vowels and consonants contained tremendous power. . . . Then, when I went from India to England, English became like a second language to me. I used to watch how people would hollow their mouths and purse their lips as they spoke, the way they hissed their s’s, the way they said the d in “darling,” or the way they pronounced f as if it were a yogic breathing exercise. I was completely captivated by English pronunciation, and in particular, during my studies at Oxford, by the way the Oxonians spoke.”

Rydw i wedi cofrestru ar gyfer cwrs iaith arall : iaith Tibet y tro yma. Rydw i wedi bod yn dysgu iaith Tibet fesul tipyn ers tro, ond dydw i erioed wedi dilyn cwrs. Mae'r cwrs yn awr a hanner, unwaith yr wythnos am ddeg wythnos. Rydw i'n gobeithio bydd yn dda.
Fel gyda'r Gymraeg rydw i'n mynd i ymarfer iaith Tibet ar Blipfoto. Diolch i 'SC' un o fy nhiwtoriaid Cymraeg, oedd gwneud yr awgrym, mae ysgrifennu tipyn bach o Gymraeg ar Blipfoto wedi bod yn helpu fi dysgu Cymraeg, ac rydw i'n gobeithio y bydd yr un peth yn wir am iaith Tibet. Dim ond ambell air i ddechrau, dim rhywbeth cymhleth. Fel bob amser byddwn i'n croesawu unrhyw help a chywiriadau.
Mae hi wedi bod diwrnod prysur arall, siopa, gwneud bara, ac yn helpu Nor'dzin gyda'i pharatoad ar gyfer cyflwyniad i Sefydliad y Merched ar Nepal a Bhutan.

I've registered for another language course: Tibetan this time. I've been learning the Tibetan language little by little for a while, but I've never taken a course. The course is an hour and a half, once a week for ten weeks. I hope it will be good.
As with Welsh I am going to practice Tibetan on Blipfoto. Thanks to 'SC', one of my Welsh tutors, who made the suggestion, writing a bit of Welsh on Blipfoto has been helping me learn Welsh, and I hope the same will be true for Tibetan. Just a few words to start with, nothing complicated. As always I would welcome any help and corrections.
It has been another busy day, shopping, making bread, and helping Nor'dzin with her preparation for a presentation to the Women's Institute on Nepal and Bhutan.
