Pointless

Permit me to start with a grumble.

This evening the Minx and I took Hannah to The Everyman to see 'The Last Showgirl'. More of that in a moment.

On the way into the cinema from Quay Street, you pass through a long gallery space. The exhibits are changed from time to time, and often enough there are some interesting things to look at. This, though...

All of Factory Records' artefacts were given number, even the cat! (FAC 191) The Haçienda nightclub was FAC 51.

This artist has lifted Peter Saville's design and portrayed it in distressed/broken ceramics. Yours for just under three thousand pounds. You know I don't like to be neggy about stuff, but come on: where's the art?

Anyway, back to the film, which was written by Kate Gersten and directed by Gia Coppola. At first, I wasn't sure what sure to make of it and even halfway through I wasn't really sure how good it was or if I was actually enjoying it.

But by the end I'd reached the conclusions that it was actually very good and, yes, I definitely enjoyed it.
