Compost, yoga and pastries
It was a bright sunny morning so after breakfast I walked to the allotment and did a bit of composing. It was so beautiful I spent longer there than I had planned and nearly made myself late for yoga - a monthly Saturday morning workshop held by my ‘old’ yoga teacher. However, after a fast paced walk to Emsworth I was on time and warmed up for the workshop.
The class was held in a local community centre which, as you might expect, was a hive of activity on a Saturday morning. Today our practice this was accompanied by the distant sound of tap dancing and piano music! The class itself proved to be quite a strong one and there were several positions I couldn’t do at all. Perhaps with practice I’ll be able to manage them or maybe my anatomy just isn’t that way inclined. Afterwards I was pleased to have a gentle walk home and to find Andy and Merlin enjoying the sunshine in the garden.
The rest of the day included chestnut and leek pastries for lunch, a walk with Merlin in the meadow and watching the semi-final of the ‘Pottery Throwdown’.
Hoping your day has gone well.
This display of artwork greeted me as I entered the community centre this morning.
