Rose (Day 3591)
I headed to town this morning to get on with the bathroom re-fit. My plan to fit the bath panel was soon shelved when I found that the new bath panel was cracked in two places. I decided to get the basin unit fitted, then found that the floor was rotten. I cut the floor out, then zoomed off to get replacement flooring and a couple of other things. Arriving back at the job I couldn't get parked, so abandoned the van and starting carrying all the stuff I thought I might need in to the job. I was just about finished when someone asked me to move the van so they could get out of the car park. I slotted the van into the space they had vacated. Five minutes later I found I couldn't get into the back of the van, because someone else had parked too close. Their parking also meant I couldn't move the van. Just as well the van has a side door.
After lunch, I had a fair old fight to get the basin supplies into place, and an even longer fight to sort out the waste.
I finally got the new flooring fitted mid afternoon, at which point the decorator arrived to see if he could do some taping and filling of the new plasterboard. It was easier for him to work without the vanity unit in the way, so I cleared up and headed back home to my beautiful wife.
It has been a frustrating day, hopefully tomorrow will be better.
