Granny's nature walk
An expensive day today, because Smithers accompanied me to the opticians this morning to help me choose some new prescription sunglasses following the eye test I had last week. I also need new spectacles, but fortunately I was able to re-use my current frames because I like them a lot. I have two pairs, and swap them in rotation every time the lenses need changing.
The weather seemed a lot colder this afternoon, so I left Smithers at home in the warm while I went out to check if any post had been left in our friends’ glazed porch while they’re away. There followed a brisk walk around the Green, at my preferred faster pace, which was interspersed with lengthy stops to enjoy the natural beauty around me. I was able to wander and snap away to my heart’s content without worrying that I was making Smithers stand about and get a stiff back, so I had a lovely time.
I simply couldn’t choose which photo to use, so you’ll have to put up with yet another collage. I was amused to see that my Photos app on my Mac thinks the small unusual-looking feather in the centre of the collage is actually a North American Red Tailed Hawk!
