Pat and her butler

Well thank you all for the comments, stars and hearts for my 4000 blips. It was so kind. I really appreciate you and enjoy being in touch through Blip.

Shona and I intended walking over to Pat’s for book group but the heavy showers were coming in from the north and we didn’t fancy the 30 minute walk in that then sitting wet for 2 hours.

The book, “A tale for the time being” by Ruth Ozeki, made for an interesting discussion. Most had mixed feelings about it though Shona in particular loved it. It certainly was different.

On day 1 of a holiday in Grand Canaria Pat slipped by the pool and broke some small pelvic bone which means she’s on crutches. Her husband played the clown in the silly pinny as he served our coffee. The outfit is not typical of them.

I had a 15 minute pre-assessment on-line questionnaire for my phone appointment with Northumberland Joint Musculoskeletal & Pain Service. “ the information provided will be available to your clinician during the consultation.” Last time the person on the phone asked the same questions - all this despite being referred by GP. I get so worked up about the waste of time and money to NHS for this repetition.

I wasn’t clear yesterday. I did take the GP’s advice and if the X-ray and other investigations indicate I need knee replacements I’ll go on the list. Thank you for the advice and the help with exercise routine. I’m starting now! Promise!

Chris who is starting next week on our bathroom “future-proofing” (moving the fixtures and fittings to make room for a shower) says it will take him a month. Mr C misheard and thought it was a week. I’m going to have to postpone a lot of visitors and try to get out as the noise and mess will be awful.
