Up For The Challenge

What a pleasant day we had. Nowhere to go, sun was shining, temps were spring-like. Ahhh. We took care of daily house work, I even cleaned the upstairs bathrooms that get little use. Hubby read that the “differential fluid” in his SUV should be changed at 90,000 miles. He got a quote to have it changed and started researching exactly what had to be done and how to do it. He ordered a few inexpensive tools and watched Utube videos. I truly believe our military training convinces the trainees that there is nothing you cannot learn to do. I saw it when I worked beside military personnel and have watched hubby find the user’s manual and tackle just about any job. He made a plan, neatly laid out all the car parts he disassembled so he could put them all back correctly and got busy. It took several hours (he did other maintenance while he was at it) and I heard neither loud word which is a sure indicator of the successful or troubling work in progress. Good on him. We ate a late lunch and took a walk. I headed to my garden and completely cleaned my raised beds and their perimeters. All the spent tall asters in the driveway garden are gone and the tools are put away. I am dirt free and enjoying my recliner. Hubby is napping. Dinner is ready (jambalaya from Renee). Parker has a nasty virus. Sure hope it doesn’t last long. I think our card party plans are going to work out. Life is good at the moment. Wishing you the feeling of being productive. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by. "Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful." — Joshua J. Marine
