A Rose Between Twa Smurfs

A lovely calm day, with a hard frost first thing.  Some sunny spells, also clouds.  A lovely calm evening, with a quick shower.

A day working on the sooth essykert with Jack and Lewis.  We've been on paper recycling waste from Tingwall, Girlsta, Stromfirth, Whiteness and Weisdale. Walkies with Sammy after work.  Popped down to Laura's this evening, then bumped into pals at the South Mainland Up Helly Aa procession.  Off out for a pint later.

Up Helly Aa season is coming to an end, with SMUHA being second last one.  They've had a perfect day for their day procession and visits.  The streets of Cunningsburgh filled this evening, spectators lined up to watch the Viking Jarl Squad, Michael Farmer leading in his galley, and the torches burned well.  Met up with big bro Jonny and his squad, along with cousin George Roberts, who's home from Aberdeen.  I can only assume their aft this evening is about the new Smurf movie, surely not Oompa Loompas?  Hope all involved have a great party tonight.  Jonny, me and George, at the galley burning, Sands of Mail, Cunningsburgh.
