Flower Friday...

...and the resistance.  While appreciating the beauty of our ornamental plum tree, I considered these notions: To be human is to understand we must accept the beautiful with the obscene.  To be human is to know we will feel a wonderful sense of being alive while holding the knowledge that we might be on the brink of extinction.  To be human is to want to hate while opening your heart to compassion and empathy. 

May all beings live in peace, feel empathy and compassion, forgive, practice equanimity, allow the light to enter and surround...may all beings know joy!

~ Hanging our country's flag upside down is either and both a sign of distress and a sign of resistance.  Resist the urge to hate, to despair, to not care.  Take a stand with hope and love!
