Primrose
I had an online meeting yesterday, so took myself into my sister and family’s conservatory overlooking their very large garden. I say garden, but it could as readily be described as a nature reserve. The bird life, in terms of species and numbers of birds is quite extraordinary, and they have let sections grow wild. Under the apple trees pyramidal orchids were flowering last late Spring, early Spring it is primroses.
Particularly entertaining to watch are the rooks, which are here in numbers and have very inventive ways of shaking the seed out of the bird feeders. An example in extras.
As it’s Friday, a floral photograph from yesterday in extras. The gorse is in full flower on the heathlands.
