Ah my silly Saturday
Renwick Museum, in DC, fancy vase made by the artist with dinosaurs, and then deliberately broken.
I spent the morning exercising and then a friend took me to Renwick museum, to a cafe, and to get dessert. It isn’t even my birthday.
One of the questions I’ve been asked by two different people is - why are we complying? They remove leaders, put in new leaders. The African Development Foundation blocked DOGE the first day but the second day they came with armed Marshalls. What if hundreds of us came and employees refused to leave? Would they shoot us? I doubt it. Could we block the men with guns? Would they drag the employees out by their legs? Would there be employees willing to stage a sit-in, insisting on doing their jobs and just refusing to leave?
The US Institute for Peace said DOGE came Saturday but were denied access.
Today the Ukraine 429th Achilles Separate Unnmanned Systems Regiment (drones) showed how they destroyed FOUR Pantsir anti-aircraft missile and gun systems worth $56 million.
Ukraine and allies signed and paid for a new initiative to supply 155mm artillery shells. A Czech initiative that began in Feb 2024 to procure ammunition led to 1.6 million shells. Twenty countries contributed, including Canada, Germany, Poland, Latvia, Lithuanian, Estonia, Belgium, Finland, Portugal, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, and Slovenia.
Ukraine began making its own missiles. The Neptune has been tested and successfully used in combat.
