Are you going to the Party?
A fine sunny day that felt like spring over at the boatyard at midday as we got Potemkin’s mast back on after her repairs at Eyemouth. The last of the Storm Babet casualties.
Then up to Tynie to see Hearts stroll to a 2-0 win over Ross County. But only time for a couple of pints as we were off. Rog in the driving seat with myself, AJ, McC and MrW carousing along with our little 35cl bottles of Glenmorangie. Down that A7 to Galashiels.
A swift smoked sausage supper and into the MacArts centre for a cracking double bill - the Sensational Alex Harvey Experience and Pygmy Twylyte. And the SAHE were indeed sensational. Just superb. I didn’t realise their bassist is a blipper. And a jambo!
I thought that PT weren’t quite up to their usual standard; maybe I was missing the weel kent choons like Joe’s Garage or Hot Plate Heaven at the Green Hotel. I mean, c’mon, that’s what we go to watch tribute bands for - not to hear the obscure stuff. Anyway, straight home. Almost. McC’s gaff is sort of on the way. Glug.
