Crossing the road

Some guidebooks advise travellers to Vietnam that the most dangerous thing they will do in the country is to cross the road, especially in big cities like Saigon. These tourists were being cautious. In the extra, we watched a brave group of locals cross 8 lanes of heavy traffic by the Saigon River. They were on a pedestrian crossing. No car or motor bike actually stopped for them, but there seem to be some rules of etiquette that avoid actual bloodshed.
