Too much?

Sorry if I’m bragging about food and fun but I am working as well! So today, easy like Sunday morning, we watched a Korean comedy horror drama mid morning before having a beautiful fish lunch and a free afternoon. 

I went to the Palais des Beaux-Arts, on my own, which was very relaxing.  It’s a huge museum with quite a lot of French old masters, not top drawer, mainly ‘school of’ plus some gems.  Some good Brueghel and a rather weird Van Gogh.  Some quite interesting labelling about the male gaze and a small cache of 20th Century women painters, none of whom I knew

Then we watched a Norwegian drama before going back to change, ‘please wear something chic’ said our minder.  No pressure.  Dinner was late, we sat down around 9.30 in Chateau Fontaine, just outside Lille.  Very delicious.  This is a pic of the chef taking a bow with his team.  

After that we went to the after party and danced the night (and hopefully the calories) away.  Home at 3am! Various notable singers joined the DJ including French légende Clémentine Celarie and our new friend the charming Camelia who I have put in the extra as she was an astonishing singer.  She sang before dinner as well, unprompted and acapella.  Glorious voice
