Grumpy Old Man

Crash course

Rather a chilly, dull day today. Catching up with things to do before I go away on Friday - my April blog for Scotland's Gardens Scheme for one.

This afternoon the u3a Gardens Group had arranged a 'Question & Answer' session to be held in the local Fire Station - they have a community room for local groups to use. They asked three gardeners to take questions, of which I was one. A very informal session, but a good gardening chat anyway.

The room must be used for training purposes, as in the corner was a table full of crash helmets, my Blip today! A body, hopefully not real,  was lying under the table along with other training paraphernalia!

Drizzle in the breeze as we left the Fire Station - not the best of days.

Quote of the Day: 'I can think of no more stirring symbol of man’s humanity to man than a fire engine.' - Kurt Vonnegut.
