Construction site

It was a beautiful sunny morning and I had a walk around our local loch. Lovely to hear birdsong from high up in the trees especially a chiffchaff or two recently returned from their winter overseas. I watched the resident pair of swans busy building their new nest. They successfully raised three cygnets to adulthood last year one of which is still on the loch albeit at the furthest distance away that is possible. As I say every year, I wish them the best of luck for this year’s new brood.
