The Crown Of Thorns

I remember being taken by my father to watch it being installed on the church tower .... in 1964.
it was renovated and reinstalled in 2024.

After dropping off more wool and craft stuff at the nursery SWMBO and I went for a walk.
The burn was quite low and the blossom was out ... as well as the sun ... and it was a lovely day - apart from wondering 'where did they get it from?' , 'why did they bring it? and 'why in Gods name did they have to throw it in the burn?'

It was in the afternoon we went to  Linlithgow - to drop off some more stuff at the 'boutique' charity shop.
On our walk back to car we went down a wee alley where I was rather taken with the light on the worn cobbles (okay - I know,,, they are actually 'setts' - cobbles are much more rounded).
At the bottom of the alley was the rather nice view,
