Tartlettes
Nothing too mysterious about these mini tarts but we were in the bakery to pick up a couple of their delicious baguette sandwiches with brie, fig jam, lashings of butter and arugula. We managed to get out of there without any tartlettes, eclairs, meringues or macarons, but we will be back as this wonderful French bakery is right next to our Brush Creek trail walk. I put a picture of that in extras because I liked the shadows.
David came by while we were doing our Zoom Pilates and lifted the counter above the washer and dryer. The washer has had water sitting in it since it died a couple of weeks ago and it has not benefitted from stagnating in the machine. Fortunately it has been another warm summer day and we could open all the windows...at least all the windows that DO open. The washer and dryer are coming tomorrow (I think) and in the nick of time since my old Berkeley friend Connie is coming on Friday and I can't expect her to sleep on Covid sheets!
I finished the quilt top today and will cut the back and start quilting it tomorrow. I will show a picture of it in due course. In the meantime, I want to finish it and send it off ASAP, so I've done little else to write about today. I'm taking a news vacation. It makes life feel a lot less stressful. .
