I sit by and watch the river flow
And just like that, we are home.
We set the alarm for 644 this morning to allow us to wake up, and come to, shower and finish packing, enjoy a coffee on the balcony and then leave.
Turned out neither of us slept very well. I was up at 2, he was up at 3, and we both woke at 6.
I got up when the alarm sounded, and showered, dressed, and started coughing.
Dig the inhaler back out, and sit quietly. While I calmed down - Si got allready and finalised the packing.
Downstair, check out. Two Cups of coffee and a custard tart while we waited.
Bus - we were the last pick up which was great. straight through check in, security and then passport control. Then "Find Gate 314" So far away. by the time we had walked there and found a seat, the gate opened and we filed onto the plane.
We had the extra leg room and I was warned NOT TO open the door unless it was an emergency. I was overjoyed they didn't look at me and say "are you sure you aren't disabled".
The man sitting beside Si, was moved over to the other seats. I cannot contain the excitement I felt that NO one was near me. I was calmer than I have felt in months, despite the slight jingle jangle of nerves over take off.
We had a snack on the plane, which we wouldnt normally do. I took the vegan option. Not because I wanted to be a planet loving person, but because I fancied some Huumus, and some baked corn, and oat cakes. I was in a salty mood. I let Si have the Mango and both of us declined the Moo-Free Chocolate, after one taste. Bleugh.
met my Sister and her gang (one son - one daughter in law and two grandweans), in the arrivals corridor. They had arrived about 2 minutes earlier from the same place. This was my first meeting with the Great-Grand Nephew. I just grabbed him. He was so Cute. He was fine for like 30 seconds, and then started to cry which I expected him to do. Strange woman comes up grabs you away from Dad and bites your nose.
Of course he was goin to cry.
The Lovely Princess Aurora was much happier to see me, and was coming to terms that I was sisters with Nonna, like She was sister to I.
They got to go down the family aisle, We didnt. They were clear of baggage before we even arrived. But our bags soon appeared, and we were out the car park before they were.
back home. Fish and Chips for tea, and then an early night. Yawn
