I had the luxury of a lie-in today! In fact, it was past 10 AM when I emerged from my room. I didn't know it, but G had been up for ages and had even been to the service! Yikes!

Anyway, I suggested going to M&S for breakfast, as they want to give me a free coffee and pastry for my birthday! We got there to discover that not all items on the breakfast menu were available because they hadn't received their delivery of avocados and cherry tomatoes as it is Sunday! Goodness me.

We walked to the Blue Box Cafe and enjoyed their omelette and avocado on toast instead (my extra). On the way there, I spotted this art installation in the Grand Entrance to Dubai Mall. It is called From Crescent to Crescent for Jaeger Le-Coultre. Khalid Shafar, a local artist, has done a visual representation of the phases of the moon, which is of particular significance this month. I liked the colours.

I said to G that the new Snow White movie was out this weekend. In a jiffy, we'd booked and were in the cinema within thirty minutes. I can't say I was impressed and er, fell asleep for some of the time. G's not said yet what she thought of it. Home for the rest of the day. I had booked to watch Little Women at Cinema Akil, but G had a lesson to deliver online. We had cheese on toast for dinner. And just like that, my birthday weekend was over.
