Twins
Thanks so much for all the birthday wishes - much appreciated.
Unfortunately, things take a definite turn for the worse in the night. I’ve been having really painful spasms in my right leg during the day, but at night these become excruciating. I honestly think it’s the worse pain I’ve ever had and think I’m going to have to go to A&E - and many of you will know that my previous experience there means that I would NEVER even consider going there unless I was absolutely desperate. G tries to help, and eventually I manage to find a relatively comfortable position that enables me to cope through the night - with the help of the Oromorph I have for desperate situations.
I manage to get an appointment at the surgery, and after examining me the doctor prescribes diazepam as a muscle relaxant and co-cocodamol for pain. I also phone Walton and I’m assured a specialist nurse will phone me back - at some point!
The drugs do seem to make a difference and I’m soon in less pain, but it’s still a day when I manage little. We were due to drive down to Harlech to have lunch with a friend then stay overnight overlooking the beautiful Mawddach Estuary. This, not surprisingly, has been abandoned. We’re still holding out hope for Madeira and will review the situation over the weekend.
Meanwhile, a new hire car has arrived. You may remember that our Kia electric car has been with Kia since August when the battery coolant leaked. Since then, they’ve provided us with a hire car but a basic model rather than the one we bought. As it’s taking so long to sort out our actual car, we’ve been making the case for a higher spec. Finally, we’ve had an EV3 delivered. It’s a very handsome car, and I’m hoping that tomorrow I’ll feel up to a trip out in it.
As for today’s blip, please forgive me for using a shot I took yesterday of these adorable twin lambs. I just can’t resist this view of them cuddling together, but in extras there’s a side by side shot too.
