Cherry Blossom time

This afternoon, I visited my Mother for a "wear a hat day"  (to raise funds for, and awareness of, brain tumour research).  After tea and cake, there was  a jovial parade of the hat wearing residents and guests. Then my Mother and I went for a walk in the garden where the cherry trees are coming into bloom, which inspired  her to recite one of her favourite poems, A E Housman's "Loveliest of Trees", which begins:
"Loveliest of trees, the cherry now
Is hung with bloom along the bough."
