I took a read on
my mountains and the river -
both big attractions

I was up just after 5 AM waiting for some light to appear behind my mountains. Before 6 I stepped out onto the deck for a shot of my mountains. I miss that view when I am away for the winter.

It's a sombre, quiet Sunday morning. There's nothing moving in my neighbourhood as I drive away with my camera. I had to defrost my windshield this morning. It's another reminder it's not Arizona anymore.

I headed over the bridge to Mission Flats with vague hopes of finding eagles. None were to be found this morning, but one frantic coyote dashed across the road in front of me. It wasn't stopping for photos.

I got a shot of the Thompson River Valley looking west, then east. The river is very low and there's a lot of sandbar exposed along its route. The colours of winter are still in effect. I'll be waiting a while yet to see it in green.

I picked up my breakfast on the way home. It will be a quiet, low-mileage day for me.
