2025 Sunday — Family Celebration

On this final Sunday of March, we woke to wet sidewalks and light rain falling. We knew this was "Family Worship" morning at Morro Bay Presbyterian Church, and instead of two services — one at 9:00 and one at 10:30 — there would only be one at 10:00.

Mr. Fun said, "We better get there early." So we did. The service was filled with younger families and the nonstop chatter of little voices; the Ukeladies lead the worship music; Pastor Luke and his young family were back from their spring break vacation; Pastor asked the young children to do the out loud praying, and asked one of the young adolescents to read the scripture passage; artists in our congregation turned the sermon into visual on their canvases, and our children's director, Jen Thomas, did all the announcements.

This was a wonderful morning. This last Sunday of March resembled the first Sunday of March; wet, with the weather on center stage.

Spring has started, but it feels like winter, and I’m so thankful that Jesus has invited me to be part of His eternal family. Are you in His family? I hope so.
