Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Thursday -- Across the Bay

This view never gets boring! We could see from north Cayucos all the way beyond Morro Rock and the power plant on California's Central Coast.

All morning and part of the afternoon we stayed home.  I paid some bills; then we went to the Seniors Thrift Store and spent less the $10 (bought a pewter lightswitch cover, 3 CDs, and a Donald Hall book for $1: The Best Day the Worst Day: Life with Jane Kenyon, and took some of the free veggies and fruit they were giving away); then went to the PO to mail all the bills with the checks I had written; then we stopped at the antique store across the street from Schooners, and I purchased a pretty pair of white heart-shaped earrings for $4.50, and then we drove north across the bridge to look at the Cayucos pier in late afternoon sun, and this photo is the evidence of what we found there.

Once we arrived home, I quickly fixed our evening meal, and we were soon walking with the three pooches toward the ocean. They absolutely love walking and we absolutely need the walk. It’s a great combo.

Good night from Cayucos on the Coast
where we are spending a good portion of our summer,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun, and Chloe, Mitzi, & Max), aka Carol
