How exciting!

Early this year the closest place I walk looking for birds was planted with a line of perhaps twelve very young trees.  It turns out they're disease-resistant elms and today I noticed the first leaves appearing.  How exciting is that?  I think most of us on blip are old enough to remember the magnificence of mature elm trees and how awful it was when one by one they vanished, which may mean some of us are also too old to see these new ones reach full maturity - but how lovely to know they're coming. back.

Not a lot else to say.  The sky has currently clouded over but we seem to have several more days of blue skies, which means I should probably do some gardening - and will, if only I can tear myself away from the camera   ;o)
