Lit Up

I took a walk in the woods between Grasmere and Rydal Water before breakfast. As the sun climbed above the local fells, this small area of woodland on the edge of Rydal Water was lit with the fells behind still in shadow.

We popped into Bowness, but didn't stay long. I must admit I don't like the area, feeling it is too commercial; not what the Lake District is about.
