Way Out
I was tired this morning, and it feeling fabulous due to my virus/cold. I got myself organised, while really wanting to go back to bed, especially as I hadn’t slept well, and had lost an hour. At least it was a really lively day, and the sun was shining into our room.
After breakfast we got organised for the day, then caught a tube from Russell Square. Our destination was Liverpool Street Station. Our tube train terminated one stop before our destination which was rather unhelpful. However we just walked underground, and soon reached the station, where we caught the train. It wasn’t going to our destination, so we had to get off in Billiricay and catch the bus replacement service. We had a very slow and long journey, but eventually got to Chelmsford, where we met up with TT’s sister, before all heading to a birthday celebration for their brother.
We had a lovely afternoon catching up over a few drinks and plenty of food. TT and out brother in law made good use of the free bar! Although we were invited back to their house to continue the party, we declined and made our way back to London. The return replacement bus journey was much longer the the one earlier, and went on quite a different route.
Once back in London, we ditched our bag at the hotel, then went in search of some food. We ended up in an Italian. I was feeling rather rubbish, but I ate my way through the meal.
We walked home to the hotel, where I took some painkillers and hoped I would feel better in the morning.
This is a sign in Russell Square Underground Station. The extra is an amazing magnolia in bloom in Chelmsford.
