Manchester bees
Manchester has long had the symbol of the bee as a tribute to the industriousness of the workforce and their place in the Industrial Revolution. It all became more of a thing for the city after the terrible bombing at the Ariana Grande concert and it is now everywhere, the buses, the trains, the planters in the street, and here, as a mural near where we’re working.
I met the others on the train at 8.30 and we had a peaceful journey up to Manchester. Our hotel and workplace are near the station and we sat down with Nick the writer and Seth who’d come up earlier. Good day in the room with the story taking shape
We are staying in a bougie little hotel called Cow Hollow and Seth, JC and I ate at a little restaurant called 10 Tib Lane where a few small delicious plates ended up quite expensive.
