Here's How to do it!

Saxifraga 'Allendale Bonny' which I blipped a close up of last year.   Here you see it growing in a raised bed at Waterperry Gardens, near Oxford, where the national collection of these dainty plants is held.   I called in this morning and met up with Adrian, an AGS friend, who looks after the collection.   He generously gave me an extended tour including behind the scenes and I came away with a few young plants to look after :-)  The display beds are accessible to everyone visiting the gardens, the collection, a testament to his dedication and knowledge, is well worth a visit in spring.

I was on my way to mum's house in London to collect some of Chris's things and transport them back to Wales.   We packed the car together and managed to use every inch of space but unsurprisingly, couldn't fit everything in.   Three boxes came out again when I got to Ruth's as I have my own things to take home too.  They'll wait there until I am back again.   The house feels different without mum, empty.   The sun shone and Chris and I sat outside with a slice of cheesecake after the packing was done.   Mum would have approved, she always enjoyed a good pudding - extra pic from when B&P took her to Austria pre-pandemic.
