Mabry Mill ...

... Virginia.

We were up by 7am and on the road by 9 am this morning for the rest of our drive to Lake Lure, North Carolina.  

One of the stops we usually try to make along the way is Mabry Mill in Virginia.  We have been here many times (in October) but this may be the first time in the Spring.  The drive here was really beautiful with all the flowering trees but when we got here there simply was no color!  I've converted this to mono as I liked it best.  But you can see a full color photo on my Facebook feed.  Keep in mind the Facebook photo is backwards as I took it with the front camera of my cell phone!

It's only a few hours from Mabry Mill, Va to Lake Lure, North Carolina and with a couple of stops along the way we reached guest services of our resort by 3:15pm. We got all checked in and before you knew it it was time for supper.  After supper we drove down to the lake for some fresh air and pictures.  This area was hard hit by the hurricane that swept through here last September so there are some major changes.  I will highlight some as the week progresses.
