Kestrel A-hunting
On another bright, sunny day I took myself over to Runneymede for a walk, before settling down on the banks of the River Thames to create a ink and wash sketch some beach huts from a picture I took many years ago for a Facebook Challenge. I made good progress, but run out of time to finish it!
During my walk a bird of prey spent some time hovering over the field in front of the Writ in Water, which provided and excellent subject for trying out the new long lens on my little Olympus camera.
Back home I was able to identify the bird as a kestrel, and was pretty impressed by the results once resolution and noise enhanced in Lightroom. This lens is rapidly becoming my favourite for this camera.
