Today's the day

Mr and Mrs K

Today's the day . . . . . . . . for a blipmeet

What a lovely time we've had today with Mr and Mrs Knottman2.

We had arranged to meet them at the cafe at NTS Threave Gardens - but after a cup of coffee, they requested a visit to Threave Castle Nature Reserve just down the road.  There was no problem in complying with this because it's one of our favourite places - and off we went.

The River Dee that winds its way through was looking at its best, with hardly a cloud in the blue sky.  The ospreys were in residence,  although the male was off searching for some dinner for the female, who was sitting on perhaps the first egg, laid yesterday.  There were plenty of flowers in bloom - and I saw my first butterfly of the year (see extra), a speckled wood.

We returned home for a spot of lunch and then our visitors set off back to their hotel.  Always such a pleasure to spend time with these two lovely people.  Come back and see us again before too long . . . . . . . . . . . !
