Today's the day ........................ to have a funny turn

Walking to work (my last day!) along the riverside I spied seven female goosanders swimming along in a stately flotilla. That'll make a good shot, I thought, grabbing my camera. And that's when they went completely bananas.

They all started preening themselves. Then, they turned their heads back, low down in the water and they swam very fast making lots of spray - sometimes right at each other and sometimes just in a random direction. It was all very bizarre.

Then they all calmed down and sailed off again as if nothing had happened...........
