Pretty little leaves

How is this year different from all other years?
Yes, I have been to many Passovers but this year, for some reason, the birds did not eat all my little tree buds. Usually at this time of year I am annoyed because all the leaves are coming out everywhere and I don’t get to see mine on my trees in my yard. The first year I didn’t know better and worried the trees would die. This year they ate some on some of the trees, but not like they usually do. 
This is a little weeping Japanese Maple (maybe Golden Falls?) and an Akane Japanese Maple. They are both in pots on my deck. I’m struck by how similar the coloring of the leaves are.

Russian oil prices have fallen to $50 a barrel. Global oil prices have fallen. Russia’s state budget will be hurt. Last month Russia’s Ministry of Finance stated it expected the average oil prices have fallen in 2025 to be $60 not $70 per barrel. Trump’s tariffs caused global oil prices to fall and OPEC promised to increase production month and Saudi Arabia lowered oil prices. 

UK data shows Russia’s territorial gains have fallen every month since November 2024. It captured five times less territory in March than it did in November. The Institute for the Study of War agrees. 

France has officially designated Ukraine as a priority in its international partnerships. 

On Wednesday it was announced that 11 more Ukrainian children were returned. “Also brought home, Yermak wrote, was a pregnant mother who had been prevented from leaving occupied Ukraine because she had refused to take out Russian identity papers and her 2-year-old toddler. The mother gave birth to another child in Ukrainian-held territory.”
