Who is tailwalking?
Maldon Prom parkrun and I was out early to Carpark Marshal. It was the first time in the role. Most cardrivers knew where to go and I really enjoyed greeting the parkrunners, especially the tourists. Lots of new faces keen to find the First-timers welcome, the toilets and the start. G tailwalked for the first time and wore his cowboy hat - hence the blip.He enjoyed the role and has signed up for next week too.
My run was fairly slow. I took a time to get going and the cold easterly wind seemed to slow me down; excuses I know, but there it is.
We had a delightful DofE student join, who brought along her parents. They plan to sign up for next week and join in with the parkrun.
After, we joined with the team in the zoo cafe for coffee - great to catch-up and share news. MLaM's skunk story cheered us all up.
Sophie's for brunch.
Rowing at 5 pm - the wind was up and we had an inexperienced crew member so we stayed safe and headed to Beeleigh Falls - a beautiful row cheered on by the revelers outside the pub. I rowed behind stroke, first time in position 3; I enjoyed the challenge. Cider in the Little Ship with the crew, finished a great day.
