Two people have asked me why people are complying and now the question lives rent free in my head. 

It is true that, after what happened at USAID and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, other agencies attempted to resist by telling DOGE they could not come in and attach to the servers. But then they returned to the African Development Fund with armed Marshall’s. The Center for the Institute for Peace called the police and told them someone was breaking in, and the DC police allowed DOGE in. 

I’ve heard expressions of surprise, from different sides of the debate, at how many of the protesters have grey hair. I think it is that our generations knew how to protest.
