I ventured as far as Lechia Gdańsk’s home stadium this evening to watch them tackle Stal Mielec in Poland’s top football league.

A great decision. 

Lechia were 18th in the league before the match (out of 18) and Stal were 17th. I did not expect much, but they proved me wrong.

Lechia were behind 0-2 at halftime, and came back to win it 3-2 with a couple of stoppage time goals. Superb entertainment.

They have a wonderful stadium but it was not even half full this evening.
