Awake to a pleading letter from D&L – it seems that the act they’d decided booked for Monday night (never the best night anyway) wasn’t exactly a crowd puller. “We have an embarrassment of spaces for the show…” began their email. Being good people we answered the call. And very enjoyable it was too – though with 13 albums already under his belt, calling him Jerry "soon to be a legend" Leger is probably pushing it a bit.
Earlier I’d treated the son to brunch and he filled me in on how things are. And even asked about me, and others. Now that is a good sign.
And golly gosh, yes, the post-split fixtures have been announced. The first clashes with the Newhaven Harbour Festival which I’d really like to go to, and we’re away for the next two. Thank the proverbial for that.
