Primula Veris

Callum had a visit this morning from a man bearing gifts.

The chairman of the AGS (Alpine Garden Society) Cleveland group that Callum has joined had offered to come round and talk to him about suitable plants for the front raised beds we’ve had done. He is a local Middlesbrough chap and knows the local area and growing conditions well.

He donated 6 different plants, this Primula veris being one of them. Of course most of us just refer to them by their common name - cowslip. But I thought I’d do it the honour of being a bit more formal :-)

The other ones are in as an extra, just for my record really.

We spent a couple of hours this afternoon pottering in the garden. Been quite sunny most of the day and warm out of the wind. So I got the daffodil pots cut back and tidied up.
