Electric Company - £150

now i have both utilities! the water works and the electric company!

i couldn't find an old electric company in the city, so plumped for this local landmark instead. This is Ratcliffe of Soar Power Station, operated by E-on, situated on the border of Nottinghamshire and Leicester, comprising of 8 massive cooling towers that take water from the adjacent River Trent. Starting its operation in 1968, its also been a site of many an environmental protest...the most famous including the undercover met guy, Mark Kennedy.

I went there at around 4pm this afto. My original plan was to go there at sunrise, but a restless night meant i was too whacked when my alarm went off at 4.45am!

we eventually got up at 7am, and after doing the charity annual accounts, and then cleaning the house top to bottom, we went out on a walk.

walk was cut short when Pete hurt his leg, and when i went to inspect it, got stung on my neck by a wasp! had to call sis, and then carry Pete to the road for her to pick us up. He much better now....think he must've got stung before me!

Great weekend. Great week ahead too, with Bro, Mand and the Crown Prince visiting us from tomorrow! can't wait!
