Good Friday and rather cheerless weather but not raining. My Brunch at the Ivy on the other hand was anything but cheerless. I was meeting up with HL’s cancer nurse and as usual we had a very chatty time  with much laughter. It’s been a while since we got together and in that time she has become an extremely young Granny and has had a difficult time health wise but all is well now and she was on fantastic form. It’s always a pleasure to hear her news and to share mine with her.

The town was seething with warmly wrapped visitors - the NE wind was biting making the temperature feel like 3°. Such a pity we didn’t have last week’s weather for the holiday.

 Since the Marriott is having upgrading work done on its public  space we are moving our TGIF drinks to the Canopy Restaurant attached to the EIF building. We are all present today and it will be good to hear  about the London visit.
