And Again

It was Spring Covid jab day for me today  -10:50 at Waverley Market with the same hop skip and jump distance from the Dower House as the walk to the Porty bus. I was a little early but there was no one else waiting, just me. Apparently the 10 am crowd of the jabbed had left. I was done and dusted in minutes and quick to climb back up to street level and a coffee at Costa.

The sun is much stronger now and so if it is possible to hide from the cold NE air then sitting outside in the sunshine is the way to go. I did that this afternoon and was joined by daughter#1, drinking G&Ts and eating ice cream. It begins to feel a little like summer already. The Meadows are full of sun worshipers and one very instant drummer who I think might be trying to set some kind of record. The cherry trees are at their most beautiful now which is my excuse for yet another cherry blossom blip but my extra is of understated apple blossom on the young trees in the Meadows’ Community Garden.
