Eggs is Eggs, White or No!
I can’t remember ever getting a box of completely white eggs from a supermarket before yesterday.
Having rediscovered Kinnaird Park last week, it seems I now can’t keep away from the place.
Because it was Wednesday and my day off from unwrapping myself on the beach, I decided to explore more of the Park. The trouble was I got bogged down in the HobbyCraft shop which is my idea of heaven. I loitered at the yarn aisles and the art aisles and reconnoitred the other aisles at leisure. With my arms full of wool I staggered to the Costa cafe for an interlude with my bus Metro newspaper. Then it was a slow progression through the shops, Office, Waterstones, and New Look to reach M&S and a search for my supper. Finally I had had enough and caught the bus home.
It was a nasty kind of day with the mist down over Arthur’s Seat and a chilly NE wind - bleak I would say, although it relented at 3pm and tried to produce enough enthusiasm for some hazy sunshine.
It was open day for the University today when it caters for possible future recruits. I couldn’t help thinking it wasn’t planned for Scottish students who are back at their desks or on study leave for the Higher exams which begin on Monday. Cynical me wonders if that is because they are relying on English and foreign students who pay fees rather than the homegrown Scottish students who have free tuition but also find it hard to get a place at Edinburgh University unless they have a poor postcode. No doubt someone on these pages will tell me I’m wrong. So be it.
