An ordinary life....

By Damnonii

Hello deer...

Didn't sleep quite so late this morning but still a slow start.  As soon as I start to speed up I start coughing!

By the time I made it downstairs D had headed off for his hygienist appointment at his dental surgery in St Andrews.  I had been looking forward to going with him and having a wander and taking some photos but it wasn't to be.

Alan and Penny also headed out after the wheelchair engineer came and fixed his broken head rest.  I made myself lunch and Lola enjoyed some left overs of chopped tomatoes and peppers.

I received a text to say the new yarn I'd ordered for baby Alfie's pram blanket would be delivered before 3.30pm.  D returned from St Andrews (happy that he got a gold star from the hygienist) and my yarn arrived not long after.

Had a brief explore on YouTube to decide on which pattern to use, and found a really easy, one row repeat pattern what will crochet quite quickly with this chunky yarn, so got started on it.  The yarn is an absolute joy to use.  I am going to enjoy this one :D

Before dinner we had a wander with Lola.  Very leisurely as she sniffs everything.  I did a lot of sniffing myself but only because I was stupid enough to leave the house with only two tissues!  The deer were out in the field and the hills looked so lovely against the gentle sky.

Once back I made this version of chicken paprikash for dinner and it was delicious.  We had it with rice rather than pasta though.

After dinner chatted with bestie Agnes.  As long as I am testing negative for covid come Saturday, she and Adrian will come up late Saturday afternoon and stay over.  D and Adrian will play golf on Sunday, and weather permitting Agnes and I will spent some time in the Gin Palace with our crochet.  More exciting than it sounds. Honest!  :-)))
