Fleurs

An early start for the Channel Tunnel and then we drove to Troyes, which is roughly half way across France towards Switzerland, stopping a couple of times to refuel with terrible motorway coffee. We eventually found our ‘B+B Hotel’, cunningly disguised as the kind of compound third world dictators live in (I’m basing this on the BBC news, of course), on the outer edges of a sprawling industrial estate. Troyes itself was a pleasant enough town, with medieval bits, but we didn’t really give it the attention it probably deserved due to a combination of travel, general exhaustedness and a pressing need for baguette and flan.
