FLOWER FRIDAY - CLEMATIS "ASTRA NOVA"
You may wonder what Mr. HCB has to do with Flower Friday - well, first of all, it was his idea to move this clematis from the back fence to the arch separating the flower garden from the vegetable raised beds - and secondly, you can see him looking, with some concern, at the weather - because he has now gone to Bristol to watch cricket for the day. I do hope it brightens up because at the moment, it is quite chilly out there, as I found out when I went out to take the photograph of our Clematis.
Mr. HCB moved the Clematis “Astra Nova” last year because it wasn’t doing too well on our back fence, but it seems to be doing much better in its new position on the arch. Over the years, we have had to move plants quite a lot and often they do much better once they are moved.
I guess we can be a bit like that - if we get stuck in a rut, then life becomes routine and boring, but once we move on and perhaps try a new hobby or do something differently, things change or maybe we do - and life seems better.
I know life is difficult at the moment for so many friends and hopefully, with the advent of better weather - although I’m not sure when that will come - things will look very different and hopefully, much better. Very often our mood is dictated by the weather and when it is cold, grey, dull and dismal, we can feel the same, but once the sun comes out and warms up not only our gardens, but us as well, we feel better and start smiling again.
I hope you will find some sunshine this weekend and be blessed whatever you do. M xx
P.S. Now - the burning question of the day is - do I start decluttering or carry on reading my book, “The Women” by Kristin Hannah? Before I decide, perhaps I’d better get dressed!!
