A Day At A Time.

By ElCid

Misty Monday Morning

Jacqui's car wouldn't start on Friday afternoon, when she crossed the border into La Linea to come home.

A couple of days before, I had met on the beach during an early morning dog walk, a lovely Hungarian chap called Jozsef. He, I was told by another friend, is a really good mechanic. He works for himself out of a garage in La Linea.

As he'd given me his card the day before, I phoned him and he had come to the rescue on Friday evening. It turned out his garage was very near where J's car was languishing in disgrace.

The upshot of all this was I had to drive Jacqui back to La Linea early this morning. Her car was by now driveable but waiting for a part to come from Ford.

I was home again by 8.10 and walked along the beach in the morning mist. This stretch of coast is very beautiful in any conditions.

Then it was a day of visiting Mum, a hospital appointment (follow-up after the removal of my bezzie mate) and then home for some lazing about on the beach and playing in the sea with J.

What a life. I suppose I should really do some work soon.

Maybe tomorrow.
